Stop The Insanity!

Or not.  In previous posts I mentioned that I didn't want to become a fabric hoarder like my mother.

My new passion for quilt making, fueled by my Christmas quilting books and a gift certificate, have made a liar out of me.  But, I'm having the best time!!

The new quilt project started when I decided that aprons out of gently used thrift items weren't inspiring me anymore.  A light bulb went on and I grabbed a bunch of shirts and made jelly roll style (2-1/2" wide fabric) strips.

Well, that didn't solve anything, it only created a problem.  The strips were dull and boring; not inspiring; yawn, etc.  You get the picture.

Anita Heady http://www.sewcialstudio.com/ to the rescue!  I stopped into her quilt store this morning and she showed me a quilt she had made with fabrics of the same color.  I was blown away by how incredible the quilt is.  I bought some complimentary colors and now I'm jonesing to make my own version.

Here is the before --

Thank you Anita.  You made my day!
